Still catching up on rest and unpacking since I got in yesterday afternoon after some frustrating and unexpected travel delays ... Forgive me for keeping it short and sweet today. I'll be working on getting some of the NYFW looks up on the blog soon. I styled more outfits than I needed to, and didn't have any of the ones I wore professionally photographed because my schedule was just back-to-back meetings, to be honest, but I do love what I styled, so look forward to some of those being up later this week. I’m so excited to finally share the DEYK WINTER 2015 lookbook with you today! It was an honour to work with such a great team on a big project like this. We shot these styles back in October both on and above the streets of Berlin, from an industrial rooftop at Alexanderplatz with an impeccable view of the city that perfectly captured the raw essence of Berlin. Talk about a breathtaking location.
I never work with a brand I wouldn’t be naturally inclined to support, and the product always has to measure up to my own taste in so many different ways – style, fit, comfort and quality. DEYK denim hits all of those requirements and complements some of my wardrobe classics perfectly – do you recognize a few items of mine in each outfit?

I have always loved a good blazer & I knew I needed this one the second I saw it. Piperlime is having an incredible sale so make sure to head on over before everything is sold out! This look is one of my favorite looks because of the simplicity. I feel like you can't go wrong with a blazer & white button up & just feel absolutely comfortable in this look (which is always the best).

I recently did a short magazine interview, one question asking me about my boldest moment of 2014. It was such a simple question but it had me reflecting on the past 12 months, picking out moments that stood out in my mind. I suddenly felt overwhelmingly grateful for what this last year has brought me.
Taking a leap of faith to leave my full-time job and focus solely on Not Your Standard has opened up so many opportunities that I will forever be happy about my decision. I never knew that this was the route I was going to end up taking, but I couldn’t imagine being on another path; when there are so many uncertainties in life, it’s always good to have a foundation around which to build.
The blog has become exactly that – something I can pour my energy into while feeling creative, inspired and confident at the same time. This initial bold move has made an impact on my life that I’m truly thankful for having the privilege to experience.
