How to Create the Perfect Cupid's Bow

Step 1: Make an X. Start at the highest point of your natural lip and draw a straight line extending down from that point. Repeat on the other side of your top lip to make the X.

Step 2: Define the bottom lip. You will find the exact center of your bottom lip directly below the center of the X you just created. Make the next line across that point.

Step 3: Make two V's. Part your lip slightly, and draw a V connecting the top and bottom lips at the both corners of your mouth.

Step 4: Connect the lines. Use short strokes of the pencil to connect the lines. For the cleanest application, angle the pencil. Hold the perfect vertically, flat against the lip, with the tip of the liner pointing outward.

Step 5: Fill in the lips. Top off your perfect cupid's bow with a swipe of lipstick or a dob of lip gloss and fall in love with your shapely lips.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara: Worth It?

Eyes Bottom Lash Mascara
Beauties, do you apply mascara to your lower lashes? I usually try to leave my them bare because any makeup in that under eye area--especially mascara--has a tendency to smudge so quickly (during application and about 30 minutes afterward), leaving me with dreaded panda eyes. Clinique introduced a new mascara last month with a super-tiny, tapered brush that was designed specifically for the lower lashes, but i was skeptical. There have been other bottom lash mascaras out there on the market, but they left me smudged and sad. And i'm too clumsy to properly use my regular mascara on my lower lash line (the formula's long wearing, but i get smudges when trying to maneuver the wand without touching my under eye skin)--the wide-eyed effect just isn't worth the cleanup for me.

Popsicle Stained Lip Tutorial

1 // Start with freshly exfoliated and moisturized lips.

2 // Apply a matte, light pink lipstick. I used MAC Pink Plaid.

3// Blot

4 // Apply a glossy, bright pink color to the center of the lips. I used Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Glossy Lip Color in Crush.

5 // Use your finger to blend the edges into the light pink.

6 // Go over the very middle of the lips with a bright red to really concentrate the color in the center. I used NARS Dragon Girl.

That's it. You know have Popsicle-stained lips, without all the mess and sugar. But really, who are we kidding? You should still eat a Popsicle. Let's all eat some Popsicles.
